Episode Summaries
Episodes #108-113:
Don and Sally flew back to King's Bay. Don went to see Helen at her office, but was unsuccessful at convincing her that nothing happened between himself and Sally. Helen kicked him out of the office -- and their house.
Sarah blamed herself for Matt's arrest, but he called and told her not to. He also told her what it was that he found in the study at Andrea's house, but when Sarah went to Andrea for help, Andrea refused; Steve had just warned her to stay away from Matt and Sarah.
Jason and Courtney discussed Lauren's chances at a relationship with Alex. Later, the four watched a movie together. Lauren was disappointed when Alex was unresponsive to her subtle come-ons.
Ryan went to see Claire at the apartment, to say goodbye one last time and to ask for an old photo of them. In the confusion, a fire broke out in the apartment. Ryan managed to save Travis and Samantha from the blaze.
Just as they escaped the apartment, Tim arrived. Ryan was surprised when Claire introduced him as an old friend. Later, she told him that by risking his life in the fire, he'd proven that he's changed.
Courtney warned Helen not to let Don slip away. Later, the torn-up young woman received a visit from Jason -- and she blew up at him for no reason. Alex reassured Jason that Courtney's just going through a rough time.
Alex and Sally were reunited. They argued over Sally's intentions regarding Don. ... Sally visited Don to convince him to give her a shot, but he wouldn't hear of it. Just as he was kicking her out, Courtney and Alex showed up. A peeved Courtney warned her father that as long as Sally is hanging around, he'll never be able to reconcile with Helen.
Sarah visited Matt at the jail, and he told her what he found at the mansion. She convinced Andrea to let her have a look around while Andrea went out. Sarah found what she was looking for -- but was interrupted by a gun-wielding Steve! A tense showdown ensued, and finally, Sarah got Steve to admit that he and Ed committed the crime, planning to frame Matt.
Matt was ecstatic upon learning he is free and couldn't thank Sarah enough. Andrea was devastasted to hear of Steve's betrayal. She tearfully broke up with him as he was hauled off by the cops. Later, she asked Matt and Sarah for forgiveness, which they readily granted.
Katherine told Roberta that she would rather Roberta doesn't go after Andy herself. Rather, Mrs. Fitch called Andy's ex-fiancee, Melissa Evans, to come back to King's Bay and assist her. Meanwhile, Danielle left on her tour, leaving a saddened -- and frustrated -- Andy behind.
Danielle called Brent from the tour bus. He vented to his sister about the sorry state of his marriage. ... Ryan told Nick he's more determined than ever to get Claire back. Nick remained convinced that Claire is nothing but trouble.
Episodes #114-120:
Tim and Jason went over to Andy's apartment for a relaxing evening, but left when Andy received a surprise visitor -- his former fiancee, Melissa Evans. Though Katherine brought her back to King's Bay to split up Andy and Danielle, Melissa turned on Mrs. Fitch and told Andy about his mother's continued scheming. When Katherine arrived, Andy chewed her out and then kicked her out of his life.
Courtney, Lauren, and Alex worked on planning Jason's 21st birthday party. Courtney went downstairs and overheard her mother, Helen, discussing her troubled marriage with Paula. Courtney went back upstairs and told Alex they have to go see Don right away.
Claire and Ryan ran into each other in the park. He told her how much it means that she feels she can trust him now; she admitted how nice it is to have someone who understands her troubled background.
With Matt cleared of all charges, he and Sarah headed back to King's Bay. At the same time, Molly went to Brent's apartment to prepare a surprise dinner for him. Unfortunately, Sarah returned home at the wrong moment and overheard just a snippet of the conversation between her sister and husband; convinced that Brent wanted their marriage to be over, she ran off.
Brent and Molly continued their deep discussion, and nearly shared a kiss. Immediately afterward, things got awkward between them and Molly left.
Meanwhile, Matt followed Sarah to the hotel. She confessed not only what she'd just overheard, but also that she saw Brent and Molly kiss on the night she married Brent. In spite of Matt's protests, a despondent Sarah got him to make love to her. The next morning, both were filled with remorse -- Matt over taking advantage of Sarah's emotional state, and Sarah over having betrayed her husband.
Courtney and Alex found Sally at the hotel with Don. Alex clashed with his mother over her plans involving Don; Don was confused by Courtney's sudden advice that he build a friendship with Sally. Privately, Courtney hoped it might make Helen jealous and force her into reconciling with Don.
Katherine visited Roberta and bemoaned Melissa's betrayal. Roberta again suggested that she herself try to seduce Andy, but Katherine wasn't too keen on the idea. Later, Katherine met Nick Moriani at a Willis Advertising board meeting. The two hit it off as they discussed their problems with their offspring.
Danielle returned home, on break from her tour. She confessed to Andy that she was not enjoying it at all.
Claire discussed her problems concerning Ryan with Paula. Claire made a comment about the past not staying buried, and Paula quietly worried about the same thing. Bill could tell something was wrong with her, and Paula confessed that she was thinking about "him" again.
Brent paid Molly a visit at work. They once again danced around the topic of their closeness, and their discussion ended with Molly forcing Brent to go back to the apartment to call Sarah. When he got home, Sarah was there!
Brent and Sarah had a long talk for the first time in months. They were pleasantly surprised to enjoy their time together, but both privately worried about their "secrets." Meanwhile, a depressed Matt sat alone in the hotel, reflecting upon his feelings for Sarah.
Episodes #121-127:
Don was served with divorce papers. He contemplated signing them and just giving up on Helen; Sally urged him to do just that. Courtney, meanwhile, forced Helen to re-evaluate the situation. Helen went to the hotel to stop Don from signing the papers, but left unseen when she saw Sally and Don kissing.
In truth, Sally had forced the kiss on Don. He pushed her away, insisting they have no future together. He left, still determined to put his life with Helen back together. Paula advised Helen not to give up yet.
Andy and Danielle ran into a scheming Roberta at the mall. She was pleased to learn they haven't set a wedding date yet. While Roberta went to meet with Katherine, Andy discovered that the joint accounts he shares with his mother were cleaned out!
Nick visited Katherine, who thanked him for coming up with the idea of clearing out the bank accounts. He asked what she planned to do with it all now, but Andy arrived before she could answer. Katherine prepared to tell her son what the one stipulation would be for her to give him the money back.
Danielle and Molly had lunch together. Danielle confided that she hates touring, though she loves singing. In fact, she thinks it's pulling her further and further away from Andy.
Lauren and Courtney had Alex take Jason to the mall so they could finish planning Jason's surprise party. Lauren announced to Courtney that she plans to make her big move on Alex during the party.
Sarah paid her parents a visit. Sarah assured Paula, and later Bill, that her marriage to Brent is once again on solid ground. She continued to be haunted by memories of both her experience with Matt and of Brent and Molly's bond.
Ryan showed up at the hospital with a cassette tape that brought back goofy memories for Claire and himself. Tim arrived and witnessed their laughter. On his way back to the office, he deduced that Ryan must be the reason for Claire's recent distraction. Suddenly, he recalled how Claire once told him she'd been raped as a teenager. Ryan was that guy! Tim realized as he headed back to the hospital.
Tim rushed back to the hospital to find Claire. He confronted her about Ryan, but she came to her ex's defense, claiming he has changed. When Tim asked if Ryan had raped her or not, Claire changed her story and said no. Tim stormed out in worry and frustration.
Sarah ran into Matt in the park. She told him she and Brent are putting their marriage back together, and he asked how she could be doing this. She said that sleeping with Matt was a mistake and headed off. Privately, Matt seemed quite disappointed.
Don and Helen finally came face-to-face at the Fishers'. Bill and Paula forced them to talk, and the two decided to put recent misunderstandings behind them. They sealed their reconciliation with a kiss.
Katherine told Andy he could have the money back if he left Danielle for good, but he refused. Later, Nick advised a distraught Katherine to forget about breaking them up.
Courtney brought Jason to the surprise party. They enjoyed the evening, while Lauren shared a dance with Alex in hopes of getting closer to him. The girls decided to toss Jason and Alex in the guest room later, when they were too drunk to go home.
Alex shocked himself by taking advantage of Jason being passed out to get a little kinky. A sleeping Jason seemed to respond, but then he woke up and fled in terror. A sobered Alex was left extremely confused.
Sarah and Brent shared a romantic dinner. When they got home, they wound up making love. Meanwhile, Molly dreamed of having Brent in her room with her. A nightmare about the late Craig showed her how much she hates being alone.
Claire and Tim began to talk things out at home. Unfortunately, it was difficult for them to see eye-to-eye about Ryan. Tim gave up the argument and pulled Claire into an embrace, though it was clear that the matter was not resolved.
