Get-togethers in King's Bay have a way of getting a little complicated. Here are some of the most memorable ...

Sarah & Brent's Wedding - Sept. 1998
After Sarah secretly spied Brent locking lips with her sister, Molly, she talked him into eloping. Months later, the couple decided to renew their vows in front of family and friends. Things got off to a typically soapy start when the bride and groom arrived late, fresh off an excursion to a South American jungle to rescue Tim and Claire. The rest of the ceremony went off without a hitch (though unspoken tensions ran high between Sarah, Brent, and Molly).
The real action came at the reception. Claire fainted, terrified by the recent death of her diabolical dad, James -- he met his end after she shoved him into a vat of acid to save Tim from certain death. Molly and Brent each struggled to conceal the uncertain feelings they held for each other; Molly was especially troubled by the presence of fiance Craig, a man she was beginning to realize she couldn't marry. The festivities came crashing to a halt when Diane Bishop passed out on the floor. The next morning, she revealed to Tim and Claire she was pregnant -- with Tim's child, as they soon learned.
This ceremony was also the reason that Brent's family -- father Bob, sister Danielle, and brother Max -- came to King's Bay. While Bob and Max returned to Seattle soon after, Danielle decided to stick around in town.

New Year's Eve Party - Dec. 1998
The Fishers' party, held at the King's Bay Hotel, ushered in the excitement to come in 1999. Molly brought Brian as her date, and she and Brent spent the evening avoiding too much contact. Sarah continued to sense the connection between them, and it kept her unnerved.
Brian had even more cause to worry when Diane crashed the party; he feared she'd expose his help in her schemes. She didn't, but did go out on the ledge, several months pregnant! Tim and Claire talked her down, promising they'd share custody of the baby, but later reneged.
Shannon, who had been invited by Bill and Paula, arrived with a date of her own -- a friend named DJ. He stormed out after realizing she was only using him to make Jason jealous. As Jason and Courtney continued to grow closer, Shannon became so frustrated that she finally spilled the truth to Courtney about her night of passion with Jason. It drove a deep rift between Courtney and Jason, allowing Shannon to move in for the kill during her trip to Phoenix with Jason.

Paula's Dinner Party - June 1999
In honor of her daughter, Sarah, and son-in-law Brent returning home from working on a case in New York, Paula decided to throw a dinner party at her home. Unfortunately, things didn't quite go as planned.
Brent and Sarah felt a deep separation between them, the result of their disagreement over the case they'd just wrapped up. Molly felt drawn to Brent, much to Sarah's dismay. Meanwhile, Jason and Helen worried about Courtney's mental health. Danielle kept the record offer she'd received a secret from fiance Andy, but confided in Brent about it. As the party concluded, the Chases were disturbed to find their tires had been slashed.

New Year's Eve -- 1999
The Fishers' annual party wasn't quite as out of control as the previous year's, but plenty still happened. Alex and Lauren shared a kiss; Molly showed up with Matt as her date, causing Sarah ample frustration; and Tim worried about Paula's secret.

Andy & Danielle's Almost-Wedding -- April 2000
Danielle went into the wedding day realizing that she didn't truly love Andy. She was momentarily distracted, however, when she caught Brent and Molly kissing! The two tried to explain their actions, but Danielle would not hear of it. (Brent had fought with Sarah earlier.)
Meanwhile, Bill and Paula squabbled over her secret and Tim told Jason about the adoption papers he found on Thanksgiving.
Things came crashing to a halt when the bride was discovered mising as the Wedding March played! She had fled to her family's San Diego home, realizing she could not marry Andy.

New Year's Eve -- Dec. 2000-Jan. 2001
Two events took place on the same night: the Fishers' annual party and the wedding of Nick Moriani and Katherine Fitch. Andy, Claire, and Tim worked together to stop the wedding, but were unsuccessful. In the process, Tim was shot and presumed dead; Claire spent the night locked in a cellar with Ryan Moriani, who finally told her the truth about her rape; and Andy met Maggie Hudson after rear-ending her car. Katherine and Nick were married. Meanwhile, at the party, Alex surprised Lauren, Courtney, and especially Jason by kissing Lauren at midnight. Brent was unable to kiss Sarah at midnight and told her that their marriage was over. Enraged, she threw a drink at her sister, Molly, and stormed out!
